Cattle sheds, Austwick near Settle.
We had taken a day trip to Lancashire to buy some cheese from the Courtyard Dairy who make a superb selection of cheeses. It was a lovely sunny, summer's day and with plenty of time to spare I was able to make a few sketches (pencil and watercolours) along the way, some of which were worked up into paintings like this one. These simple cattle sheds contrasted superbly against the hills in the background.
