Blue Scar and Ivy Scar - Wensleydale.
The limestone outcrops or 'scars' are a lovely feature of the geology of Wensleydale. I sketched this at the end the afternoon when the shadows were lengthening and they drastically mirrored the lines of the limestone. The autumn trees gave the painting a lovely colour contrast.
