Stac Pollaidh and Loch Lurgainn, Sutherland.
John and I had missed out on our annual fishing trips to Scotland for two years due to lockdown, so we were looking forward to renewing our acquaintance with brown trout in our favourite area of Scotland - the wildness that is Sutherland with awe-inspiring mountains just poking up in the landscape seemingly at random. We stopped at this point for a break, a cup of coffee and enough time for me do produce a good sketch that I was able to paint from when we got home.
media: oil on board (unframed), 20" x 24"
